Hey folks , Let us start from level easy to hard. In this post we will be discussing TWO METHODS for simple concept in TIME AND WORK. Lets proceed to METHOD 1 METHOD 1: General description of METHOD 1 - There will be a piece of work . Say Person A will complete it in some X days ,say Person B will complete the same work in some Y days. The question will be asked to find the number of days taken to complete the same work if both A and B work together. APPROACH 1:   (Just follow the steps) STEP 1 : Take LCM of X and Y  -----  TOTAL WORK     ----- 1 STEP 2 : LCM / X ----- Individual work done by A           ----- 2 STEP 3 : LCM/Y ------- Individual work done by B           ----- 3 STEP 4 : 1/(2+3) -------Number of days taken to complete if  A & B work together ----- ANSWER The execution of above steps seems to be time consuming , but actually it is not.
