Reminiscing over the past - A gamer's version

 A gamer's Nostalgia

To his grace, to glory, to future.

In this never-ending saga of a futuristic world, it is always okay to sit back and revisit our past. Nostalgia hits different for different people. Some associate it with places. Many associates with people and here comes the ultimate tribe who associate themselves with games.

Yep, I belong to the long-lost "The Gamer tribe". Life was simple back then. There was a wide range of games starting from action to cooking, from kid's super Mario to Ages of Empire. Imagination and creativity knew no bounds when it came to games. We lived in our own world blessed with star showers, gold coin collections, weapon collections, new avatars, brand-new suites, and many more. We used multi-purpose joysticks to simple PC keyboards.

My personal favorite was the PC keyboard with huge keys. Thanks to the huge keys. The clicking, rattling, clacking sounds of keys gave me an adrenaline rush every time I played. Narrowing down, I would love to share my favorite games. I never claim that these are the best games. These are my favorite games.

Here comes the King of the Road - Road Rash followed by King of the Arcade/Action - The Unreal Tournament.

Road Rash: Childhood life of many

Road Rash

Many might have recognized the rider wearing shimmering gold-purple in the violet motorcycle. Road Rash is a simple road racing game with amazing extra features to it. It supports both single-player and multiplayer game modes. Simple graphics with great gaming pitches made it popular among kids of all ages back then. It had some violence-stimulating features like side-kick the other riders during a race. The best part of this game was figuring out how to win the race by using various features gained during the course of the race. I guarantee you that this game is a pure stress buster. Road Rash is worth playing when it is played along with your friends or family in multiplayer mode. Road Rash - a guilty pleasure!

The Unreal Tournament: This is my personal favorite and never disappointed to challenge me.

Unreal Tournament

The Unreal Tournament is action-packed gaming. It is adventurous, the graphics opens door to extraterrestrial technologies. The gaming maps were an eye-opener to different planets. The Unreal Tournament comes in various modes. Single-player combat mode, Deathmatch and Capture the flag is my area play. The weapon collections range from Shotgun, Minigun, Rocket launcher to Translocator. It is more like any other combat game which we play.

When it comes to strategy, Capture The Flag satisfies our brains. Capture the Flag comes with a map, weapons. It is fought between two teams. The red flag and the blue flag will be given to the respective teams. The plot here is to capture the opposite team flag on their home grounds. We have to invade the enemy colony and capture the flag and seal our dominance.

A gamer's note:

Gaming is a never-ending love story for many. The story takes twists and turns. It is like a mystery to be solved. We are challenged, beat up but we never quit a game in the middle. Sometimes games are addictive. Here comes the smartest gamer, the one who controls the game and never lets the game control the gamer.

I request my readers to kindly share the download link to the ROAD RASH game in the comments below. I have searched many columns to access the game, unfortunately, I could not find one legit source.

Happy Gaming.
