BEAUTIFUL ALLEPPEY HOUSEBOATS

Alleppey and Kumarakom are the two spots that I planned to visit this summer (May 2019). I surfed through the web for several hours. I was searching for a perfect two-day itinerary to Kerala. As we all know, there were plenty of websites from which we can avail tour packages. All my efforts for route planning to local sightseeing gave me great insights. Lets us dive deep into the serenity and eternity of Alleppey and Kumarakom.

       

There are several kinds of houseboats available. The tariff varies for different operators and service providers. The average tariff for a single bedroom HB with an upper deck costs around 7000 INR. During seasons the costs will be high at around 15000 INR.

Have you ever slept on a boat overnight? If not, without a second thought just zip your backpack and make your way to Alleppey. The check-in time is 12 noon and check-out will be 9 AM, the next morning. The cruising time will be 5 hours in the afternoon till 5 PM and 1 hour in the next day morning. The boat will be docked after 5 PM in a safe place. 

      

Cruising time covers almost all the canals while routing. We can find the reason for naming this place as GOD'S OWN COUNTRY for sure. The overall experience will be hallucinatory. There is a decent population living along the banks of the canals. The transmission lines are laid in such a way that those places suffice their electricity needs. It is an engineering marvel in those water isolated area.

The sunset scatters its golden rays on the slowly waving waters. It was a heavenly moment. Slowly the nightfall came into the scene. The calmness filled me. I had a great night with my family. Overnight stay at the houseboat was very refreshing. The alluring backwater had been a visual treat. The replenishment of the soul had been the key factor. The atmosphere is itself capitative with a positive aura. The must visit place for backpackers.
